IN SEARCH OF FABRIC

Does anyone know what line the pink fabric with leaves (below) is from or have some of this fabric that you would be willing to sell to me? Click on the photo for a closer shot. I know it is from a really old line but I thought perhaps one of my blog readers might recognize it and be able to point me in the right direction. If so, please email me at the email button under my profile information in the right-hand column of my blog. I'd appreciate your help solving this fabric mystery!

  1. I recognize the pink as a Judie Rothermel print for Marcus Brothers. How much do you need? I used to get all of the lines that she designed, so if I have it there would only be a fat quarter. Would that help?

  2. Well, I know that I sure don't, but that's a beauty. I'm wondering if it's something from Judie Rothermel's line of long ago?
The shade of pink is quite lovely and I'm not usually a pink person.
Did you do the quilting in this quilt? It's gorgeous!

  3. G'day - I recognise it - pretty sure it is a Judie Rothermel by Marcus Bros. It may have been called Peppermint and Sassafrass - but I wouldn't swear to it. It's a beautiful block.

  4. Hi Kimber. You could also try missingfabrics.com or ebay. I was looking for some old 1930's fabric from about 13 years ago and found it on ebay. Good luck in your hunt. Regards, Christine

  9. Many of you have commented on the beautiful quilting in this block. I cannot claim credit for it! This is a photo I took of a quilt from a local quilt show a couple years ago. It really captured my eye and of course, I loved that pink reproduction fabric in it and I've been searching for it ever since.

  10. It's definitely a Judy Rothermel for Marcus Brothers fabric from probably 8 to 10 years ago. You might try Judy's shop as they sometimes have older pieces of her fabric at quilt shows.
